An incredible number of
volunteer
hours go into making this event a success each year. Many hands make
light
work...On Friday morning people gather at Leonard and Marge Jansa's
house (for the past 21 years) to clean and cut 180 pounds of potatoes,
and about 60 pounds each of carrots, onions, and celery.

On Saturday morning the kolache bakers do their
thing,
many arriving as early as 3:00 a.m.
(Tote board keeps a tally on number of trays that have come out from the kitchen.Over 5600 kolaches were baked for the event.)

Outdoors there are games, tattoos, Chances being sold and food....
