April 4-5 A crew from Blackburn College and Creighton University spent the day working in the gym building. There is a story behind the sign on their van....they had started for Cedar Rapids a few weeks before but ran into a snowstorm that resulted in one vehicle being in an accident.
Fortunately, there were no injuries but they decided to head back home. This time they needed to abbreviate their stay due to another snow storm that was heading for eastern Iowa. THANKS!

A large group of Des Moines Dowling Catholic High School attended our Sept 28 Mass and spent part of their week end working on flood recovery in the community. As part of their economics curriculum one class created a student-run company. They designed a water bottle, sold advertisements, received contributions for the purchase of the bottle. From their proceeds they made a very generous donation of $1,198.37 to St Wenceslaus. Thanks again to the Dowling Catholic Economics Period Two Class and teacher Ron Gray!
