RCIA RETREAT - MARCH 25
Give and it shall be given to you. For the measure you measure with will be
measured back to you. Gospel of Luke
We are all called to be disciples and good stewards of the resources
entrusted to our care, to walk with people of all ages in our parishes.
Our Religious Education Ministry has included the following in recent weeks:
1. The Catechists have been encouraged to use articles from the "Witness."
2. The families have been encouraged to get together at a special time, and
identify the gifts of each member, and affirm those gifts.
3. We had the First Reconciliation Family Retreat Night in November.
4. In December, the children had a presentation on the Feast of the
Immaculate Conception, and the Feast of Our Lady of Guadalupe.
5. The classes took part in a Posada presentation in December.
6. There was a night for all the students to go to the Sacrament of
Reconciliation in December.
7. In January, the 2Dd grade children received the Sacrament of
Reconciliation for the fint time.
8. The annual "Middle-School Night" was hosted by All Saints in January.
9. The Board of Education met in January. Our new Xavier Representative is
Dennis Martin.
10.The students had a presentation on the Rice Bowl Project in each class.
They will take part in this, during Lent.
1l.Each family will receive the Home Calendar Guide. It has prayers and
suggestions for each day of Lent.
This is a wonderful opportunity for them to put their faith into action by
reaching out in solidarity with all members of our human family.
There is an old Jewish-Christian tradition which says:
God sends each person into this world with a special message to deliver,
with a special song to singfor others, with an act of love to bestow.
No one else can speak my message, or sing my song, or offer my act of love.
