Knox Presbyterian Church in Naperville, Illinois spent three days here
helping with our recovery.

A group of 21 from First Reformed
Church in Waupun, Wisconsin was in CR for the week. These 7 spent a few
hours
helping in the
gym building. THANK YOU!
June 17 The gym stage plywood
floor nears completion.

The
gym kitchen plumbing and electrical work needs to be completed before
the new floor
and appliances
can be installed.

This group from Princeton
Presbyterian Church in Princeton, West Virginia spent 4 days in Cedar
Rapids with flood recovery efforts.
We were
fortunate to have them June 18 . One big job they did was
clearing out all the "jungle growth" on the north side of the church.

This group from Parkview
Community Church in Glen Ellyn, Illinois spent 4 days here helping in
the gym building and
rebuilding the
retaining wall on the north side of the church.

The team's "foremen", Mel and Phil from St. Mark's
Lutheran Church in Marion take a
much-deserved break.





21 youth and 7 adults from Ypsilanti
Free Methodist Church in Ypsilanti, Michigan
spent the week of June 22-26 in Cedar Rapids. The group
pictured below spent a day cleaning up
the fenceline in the parking lot across from the gym, building.





A crew from Sand Springs United
Methodist Church in Sand Springs, Oklahoma came to Cedar Rapids June
27-July 3; this
group worked
in the gym building for 2 days

July 6-10 This group from St Francis of Assisi, Des Moines
accomplished a wide variety of tasks.

Monday
morning the new chairs for Chihak Hall arrived. The group unloaded them
and then a small crew took on the time
consuming
chore of unwrapping all the paper from all 160 chairs.






July 13-17-
A total of 28
volunteers from Centerburg United Methodist, Green Valley United
Methodist
and Marengo United Methodist from Centerburg, Ohio
were in Cedar Rapids. This crew
pictured below
helped get the VISTA offices
ready and did a variety of yard work.

birthday, Wally!
A crew of 50+ came to us from Virginia. 18-20 of them worked here
Mon-Thurs, continuing with many of the jobs
in the gym building.
