Throughout eastern Iowa volunteers have stepped up to the challenge in remarkable ways. Nowhere has it been more demonstrated than here at St. Wenceslaus.

The June floods hit our campus very hard. But, by the grace of God, with strong leadership from Fr. Chris and
Parish Council, countless volunteers, and numerous generous food and financial contributions clean-up/rebuild moved ahead. We held our first post-flood Mass Sept 28, just 15 weeks after the flood!  The outpouring of love and     compassion continues today. It has been, and continues to be truly humbling and overwhelming. The faith-filled response to the words of Jesus “to love one another in His name” is appreciated beyond what we can express.

Despite all the destruction, pain, loss, and inconvenience of the floods we have been extraordinarily blessed.
